As the electrical facilities in rural greenhouses age, the likelihood of fire and electric leakage accidents increases, causing serious property damage to farmers and even leading to casualties, thus requiring special attention and management.
Accordingly, the Gijang-gun Agricultural Technology Center, in collaboration with the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation, invites experts in various fields to conduct inspections of distribution boards, leakage breakers, wiring, outlets, grounding status, and also promotes education for farmers to self-diagnose electrical safety facilities in greenhouses.
In particular, with the recent cold and dry weather increasing fire risks, the goal is to strengthen farmers' electrical safety inspection capabilities to eliminate risk factors in advance, prevent fires, and support stable farm management.
Park Mijin, director of the Gijang-gun Agricultural Technology Center, urged, "Farmers should familiarize themselves with safety inspection items to prevent greenhouse fires and pay close attention to regular inspections to prevent property damage caused by fires," adding, "We will continue to promote regular safety education and strive to spread a culture of safety through active promotion and education to enhance the safety awareness of farms and farmers."
