[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Jeollanam-do Yeonggwang-gun (Governor Kang Jongman) announced on the 26th that it is accepting the 3rd application for the 'Agricultural Duty-Free Fuel Support Project' with a project cost of 774.29 million KRW (40% provincial subsidy, 60% county subsidy).
This project was promoted to alleviate the management burden of farmers who are struggling due to the continuous rise in fuel costs caused by the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
The 3rd duty-free fuel support will provide a fixed amount of 213 KRW per liter regardless of fuel type for gasoline and diesel used from November to December last year, and kerosene used from October to December.
The support target is agricultural (legal) persons residing in Jeollanam-do who have been issued a duty-free fuel purchase card and must submit an application form for the duty-free fuel purchase support project.
However, even if duty-free fuel has been allocated, those who do not submit the project application form will be excluded from the support target.
Agricultural (legal) persons wishing to apply must visit the local agricultural cooperative where the duty-free fuel was issued and submit the project application form by the 10th of next month, and the support amount will be deposited into the payment account dedicated to duty-free fuel purchase cards.
A county official said, "As concerns of farming households are growing due to rising fuel costs and various agricultural material prices, we will actively promote so that all eligible farmers can apply without omission to provide even a little help."
