KCC Donates 700 Million Won to Community Chest's 'Hope 2023 Sharing Campaign'

[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] KCC announced on the 26th that it has joined the ‘Hope 2023 Sharing Campaign’ by donating 700 million KRW in neighborly love funds to the Community Chest of Korea.

On the same day, KCC held a donation ceremony at the Fruit of Love Hall located in Jung-gu, Seoul, attended by KCC Executive Director Sangjun Kim, Secretary General Insik Hwang of the Community Chest of Korea, and others.

This donation will be designated and entrusted to local communities centered around KCC’s major business sites and will be supported as a valuable sharing project for families in need. KCC has been continuously donating to the Community Chest of Korea every year.

A KCC official stated, "Although these are difficult times for everyone, if we look after each other and unite our hearts, we will be able to wisely overcome the current hardships," adding, "We will continue to practice consistent and sincere sharing and take the lead in exerting a positive influence on the local community."

Meanwhile, since 2017, KCC has promoted the social contribution catchphrase ‘A Better World Made Together’ and has supported various local coexistence projects such as ‘Saetteul Village,’ a housing improvement project for old houses by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport; ‘On Neighborhood Forest,’ a low-rise residential area improvement project by Seoul City; and ‘Firefly House,’ a residential environment improvement project in Seocho-gu. Since 2022, KCC has been focusing on ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) management by conducting the ‘Forest to the Future’ campaign, a social contribution activity aimed at forest restoration.
