[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, conducted capacity-building training for nursing public officials from the districts at the High Vocational Education Hub District Seo-gu Education Center on the 25th.
According to Seo-gu on the 26th, this training was provided to nursing public officials working at 18 district administrative welfare centers to offer integrated welfare and health services, including the Basic Livelihood Security Program, Basic Pension, and Single-Parent Family System.
Starting with four districts in November 2020, Seo-gu deployed nursing public officials to 14 districts by July 2022 to carry out visiting health and welfare services and integrated case management for residents in need of healthcare services.
A nursing public official who attended the training said, “Residents often ask about welfare systems as well as health-related inquiries during home visits, and through this training, I was able to learn about various welfare systems in depth. Going forward, I will actively provide not only medical information but also necessary welfare information.”
A Seo-gu official stated, “We will continue to actively work to eliminate welfare blind spots through visiting health and welfare consultations utilizing the expertise of nursing public officials and provide customized health information and services to promote the welfare and health of district residents.”
