Gwangju Nam-gu to Host 'Connecting to Baegun Square One Heart Festival' on the 28th
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, will hold a Hanmaeum Festival including an arm wrestling competition around Baegun Square.
Nam-gu will host the "Connecting to Baegun Square Hanmaeum Festival" on the 28th from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Street Food Zone.
The event will feature an arm wrestling competition for men and women, as well as a Golden Bell quiz contest, and various experience programs will be held at six food zone stores.
Nam-gu will provide samgyeopsal to citizens who win first and second place in the arm wrestling competition, and randomly distribute gift certificates usable at the food zone to other prize winners.
The Golden Bell contest will have a total of 50 teams, each consisting of two people, participating through pre-registration to compete for the championship cup.
The quiz will be about the urban regeneration project around Baegun Square, and the first to third place winners will receive Onnuri gift certificates worth 300,000 won, 200,000 won, and 100,000 won respectively.
Other prize winners will receive street food zone gift certificates randomly.
Additionally, six booths in the street food zone will feature calligraphy, chilbo craft making, eco-friendly animal character moss making, LED balloons, unique percussion performances, and a spinning wheel event.
On the day of the festival, Seogwang Middle School and the Nam-gu Office underground parking lot near the food zone will be available for free use.
