Voluntary participation from residents also continued. They joined forces by bringing out tractors to spread calcium chloride for snow removal. The number of tractors mobilized by residents that day reached 162.

On the 25th, the first working day after the holiday, all employees of Gangjin County Office, including County Governor Kang Jin-won, carried out snow removal work on major sidewalks and side roads.

Sidewalks and side roads inaccessible to snow removal vehicles had been left unattended for a long time, posing a threat to residents' safety. Employees divided the area into sections immediately after arriving at work and used shovels and brooms to carry out snow removal work, focusing on securing safe passageways.

The county governor urged, "Please take care of all aspects of daily life and do your best in snow removal work so that no residents suffer from the severe snowstorm and bitter cold."

In preparation for the heavy snow warning on the 24th, Gangjin-gun checked on 2,079 elderly people living alone by phone, broadcasted the situation through village announcements, and conducted emergency duty in all departments to respond quickly in case of emergencies.

As of the 25th, no casualties or facility damages have been confirmed, and the county plans to strengthen continuous snow removal and patrol activities to prepare for additional snowfall.
