Gwangju Buk-gu Enhances Trust and Satisfaction in Architectural Administration

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] On the 25th, Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced that it will establish and actively implement a comprehensive plan to strengthen the capabilities of public officials in charge of architectural work.


This capability enhancement plan was prepared to increase trust and satisfaction in architectural administration by providing architectural services that meet the residents' expectations.


Accordingly, Buk-gu plans to improve the work abilities of public officials in charge of architecture through various internal and external capability enhancement programs and collaboration with experts and related organizations.

The main contents include activating job training and discussions through in-house job training, professional instructor education, and field visits, and strengthening practical skills at each stage of architectural processes.


In addition, an architectural consulting team will be operated to review laws and resolve multiple civil complaints, and a mentor-mentee system between senior and new employees will be run to transfer work know-how.


Furthermore, to minimize architectural disputes, quarterly meetings will be held with external organizations such as the Gwangju Architectural Society and the Korea Housing Managers Association Gwangju Chapter, and the Architectural Counseling Center will be operated to actively resolve resident conflicts related to architecture.


Moon In, the district mayor, said, “The capabilities of public officials are important to provide architectural administrative services that satisfy residents,” and added, “We will support the solid implementation of this plan to strengthen the capabilities of public officials in charge of architecture.”
