Changwon National University Adds Momentum to Defense Industry Exports

Advanced Defense Materials and Components Research Lab Industry-Academia Exchange Meeting

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] The Advanced Defense Materials and Components Research Laboratory of Changwon National University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation held an industry-academic exchange meeting for defense export activation strategies.

According to the university on the 25th, the exchange meeting was promoted to open the technology development infrastructure established at the university to local small and medium-sized enterprises, seek win-win cooperation plans for entry into defense companies and advancement of defense technology through networking among companies, and to establish a foundation for human resource development suitable for that purpose.

The exchange meeting was attended by about 100 people, including 50 large and small companies such as Hyundai Rotem, Hanwha Aerospace, LIG Nex1, related organizations, and graduate students of Changwon National University's Graduate School of Advanced Defense Engineering.

Park Jonggyu, head of the research laboratory center, said, “Through the exchange meeting, we will open the human and material resources possessed by the university to defense companies to help improve their technology, develop human resource development programs tailored to the needs of companies through networking among companies, and find a direction for project promotion based on defense export activation strategies.”
