Agricultural Byproduct Shredding... Reduces Fine Dust and Prevents Wildfires
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] On the 25th, Hwasun-gun, Jeonnam announced that it will provide free rental support for branch shredders to assist with the shredding of agricultural by-products.
This support is a measure to reduce fine dust generated from burning agricultural by-products and to prevent forest fires.
Currently, the Agricultural Machinery Rental Office operates six branch shredders for rental, and the branch shredders can shred agricultural by-products (branches, chili pepper stalks, etc.) with a diameter of less than 10cm.
Applications for support can be submitted by the village representative or the head of an agricultural-related organization by specifying the desired rental date and submitting a rental application form to the Agricultural Machinery Rental Office or the Eup/Myeon Agricultural Counseling Office.
An official from the Agricultural Technology Center said, “Shredding agricultural by-products has various advantages such as fire prevention and environmental protection, so we ask for active participation in the shredding work. Since the shredder poses a risk of safety accidents, we urge special caution when using it.”
