Cheongsong-gun Holds 2023 Major Administrative Tasks Reporting Meeting

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, will hold the ‘2023 Major County Administration Work Report Meeting’ for three days from the 25th to the 27th in the small conference room of the county office.

For the ‘Leap of Cheongsong that Changes My Life’ in 2023, the county has established six strategic tasks: ▲ Establishing a solid foundation for future agriculture ▲ Reliable universal welfare that fits perfectly ▲ Improving local economy for better living ▲ Culture and tourism that create jobs ▲ Relaxed and pleasant urban environment ▲ Regional economy united through communication, and has formulated the major county administration work plan for 2023.

Presided over by County Governor Yoon Kyung-hee, the ‘2023 Major Work Report Meeting’ is conducted in a departmental report format attended by the vice governor and heads of each department, reviewing major work promotion plans and local pending projects.

Before holding the work report, Governor Yoon requested each department to discover new projects that will lead to groundbreaking changes in Cheongsong-gun and to establish promotion plans that citizens can feel in their daily lives. Accordingly, each department made great efforts to attend the work report after thoroughly reviewing the projects to be promoted.

In particular, 2023 is the first year when the main projects of the 8th elected term officially begin and are subject to evaluation by the citizens, currently receiving much interest and support from Cheongsong residents.

The major tasks by strategic agenda for 2023 include ▲ Establishing a golden apple research complex for future agriculture, creating future-type orchards for Cheongsong apples and supporting seedling costs, strengthening export competitiveness of agricultural specialties, providing manpower support to solve rural labor shortages, supporting production of high-quality food crops, and establishing excellent agricultural product production complexes ▲ Operating the 8282 civil complaint handling team for universal welfare, free operation of Cheongsong buses, completion of Jinbo-myeon regional children’s center, operation of Neighbor Village Welfare Center ▲ Expanding issuance of Cheongsong Love currency, expanding and reinforcing living sports facilities, improvement projects for Jinbo and Hyeonseo markets in the local economy ▲ Restoration project of Jusanji king willow, Cheongsong Baekja residence project, creation of premium forest in Singi-ri, establishment of forest leisure sports complex in Pacheon-myeon, installation of gateball facilities in Jinbo-myeon, creation of park golf course in Sannam area for culture and tourism ▲ Construction of ecological passage in Jilgoe, advanced operation project of Cheongsong-gun local water supply, rural hub revitalization project in Cheongsong-eup, undergrounding of power lines, and creation of nightscape attractions in the urban environment.

Governor Yoon Kyung-hee of Cheongsong-gun ordered, “Prepare without any setbacks in all fields for the new leap of Cheongsong,” emphasizing, “Especially, to realize a Cheongsong where citizens’ lives change, please visit project sites more frequently and focus on field administration.”
