Dong-Eui Science University Operates 'Cheonghaejin University Winter Vacation Overseas Training'

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Dong-Eui Institute of Technology is operating the ‘2022 Cheonghaejin University Winter Vacation Overseas Training’ program from the 16th of last month until February 8th.

This program provides a total of 120 hours over 4 weeks, including intensive Japanese language education and on-site training in Japan to improve overseas adaptability. Eleven current students who wish to work in Japan participated in the program.

Due to COVID-19, overseas employment opportunities had been blocked for a long time, but since the beginning of 2022, entry into Japan has become possible. Two graduates from the 2019 Cheonghaejin University course, three from 2020, and one from 2021, who had been waiting to enter Japan, have departed and are currently working at Japanese companies.

In particular, among the 11 trainees in this overseas training program, eight have been finally accepted by Japanese companies and are awaiting departure, showing that overseas employment is regaining momentum.

Students participating in the "2022 Cheonghaejin University Winter Vacation Overseas Training" are taking a group commemorative photo.

Lee Hwasoo, Director of the Employment Support Center, said, “We will expand the path to overseas employment through systematic curricula and thorough student management in cooperation with Japanese companies,” adding, “We will spare no effort to support more students in achieving their dreams of overseas employment through educational programs that can advance globally.”

Dong-Eui Institute of Technology was selected last year as the operating institution of ‘Cheonghaejin University’ for the fifth consecutive year, and is actively running various global programs such as overseas employment support programs, local semester systems, overseas field training, and overseas language training to expand students’ overseas employment opportunities.
