According to Gyeongbuk Province, as of the morning of the 25th, four cases of meter freezing damage were reported in Goryeong, Bonghwa, Pohang, and Gyeongju. Passenger ferry operations between Pohang and Ulleung have been suspended for three days, with services expected to resume around 11:50 PM on the 25th from Pohang.
The 7.8 km section of the Ulleung Island ring road from Naesujeon to Jukam, frozen by waves crashing onto the road, has been closed since 10:30 PM on the 23rd and remains blocked to traffic as of the morning of the 25th.
Gyeongbuk Province announced that, except for the road closure sections within Ulleung-gun, normal road operations will be possible starting from the 25th.
As of the morning of the day, 286 displaced persons were identified in Uljin, 7 in Pohang, and 2 in Gyeongju.
Gyeongbuk Province, with the governor as the head of the headquarters, has initiated special inspections, information dissemination, and publicity activities, and 556 employees from the provincial and city/county offices have begun emergency duty in preparation for the cold wave and heavy snow.
