65 Projects Developed and Supported Last Year, Budget Savings of 500 Million KRW
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The design administrative service conducted by Ulsan City through the public design support project is achieving the dual goals of budget savings and quality improvement.
Ulsan City announced on the 25th that it saved 500 million KRW in budget last year through the 'Design Administrative Service' implemented to enhance the level and dignity of public design.
The 'Design Administrative Service' is a project that supports consultation and development by utilizing internal design professionals within Ulsan City for designs needed in various project implementations, and has been in operation since 2008.
The support areas include visual design, product design, and space/environment design. From the diagnosis and planning stages of deliverables submitted by design service companies to the production of the final outputs, a special dedicated team is formed to collaborate on design development.
In the case of last year, the project supported and developed 65 designs including the brand design of Ulsan Taehwa, the country's first electric propulsion vessel, and trophies and commendation plaques awarded during ceremonies, achieving a budget saving of 500 million KRW in design service fees.
Additionally, it contributed to the qualitative improvement of public design standards by supporting design-related tasks for projects promoted by various departments.
Ulsan City plans to continue promoting the Design Administrative Service to elevate the quality of public design and reduce budget expenditures.
