Hotels Offer Various Promotions Featuring Winter Seasonal Fruit Strawberries
From Buffets to Afternoon Tea Sets and Cakes
The hotel industry is continuously launching promotions utilizing strawberries, a winter seasonal fruit. From strawberry buffets to afternoon tea sets and cakes, the variety of uses is diverse, and each hotel attracts consumers with its unique concept.
According to the hotel industry on the 23rd, Banyan Tree Club & Spa Seoul's Granum Dining Lounge is running the strawberry dessert buffet promotion "Very Very Very" until March 26. It offers a buffet featuring desserts made with fresh strawberries at their peak flavor and sweetness. The menu includes Kingsberry fresh strawberries, known as the "King of Strawberries," strawberry chiffon cake, and strawberry buttermilk pudding. A soft crab slider is served at the table to whet the appetite, along with various savory dishes sufficient as meals, such as pizza, Kung Pao shrimp, and tteokbokki. Coffee or tea is provided as a beverage. You can also enjoy premium dessert brand Bibidotta's gelato and special gifts. The promotion runs every Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays in four sessions.
The Lobby Lounge on the lobby floor of JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul presents the "Salon de Strawberry by JW" strawberry dessert buffet. It focuses on desserts and savories that maximize the deep natural sweetness and quality of strawberries, including four types of premium strawberries. You can experience a variety of premium strawberries, including varieties rarely found at strawberry buffets. The main ingredients, strawberries, will be maintained at a premium level throughout the five-month promotion period, featuring Kingsberry known for its large flesh and peach aroma, pink-colored Mannyeonseol strawberry, high-sweetness Jukhyang strawberry, and vitamin C-rich Vitaberry. Representative dessert items include fresh strawberry chocolate dipping, the traditional British dessert strawberry Eton Mess layered with meringue, strawberries, and cream in a cup, raspberry dacquoise with raspberry filling that melts in the mouth, mini Mont Blanc Danish, berry choux, strawberry mousse, canel?, macarons, strawberry fresh cream cake, fraisier, Malenka cake, pink chocolate fountain, and fruit fondue condiments, totaling about 16 varieties. Savory dishes include sea urchin mousse, foie gras cr?me br?l?e, and mini popover bruschetta.
InterContinental Seoul COEX Lobby Lounge is hosting "Strawberry Avenue" until April 2, where you can enjoy over 20 types of desserts including those made with fresh strawberries, pasta and fried dishes, strawberry fish-shaped bread, teppan ice cream, mini burgers, and other unique menu items at a live station. Table service offers exotic delicacies such as Ankourt truffle soup and baked Alaska, along with ros? sparkling wine that pairs perfectly with strawberries, providing a feast for the senses. The event runs every Friday from 12 PM to 2 PM, and on Saturdays and Sundays in two sessions: the first from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM and the second from 2 PM to 4 PM.
Seoul Dragon City operates dessert promotions using winter seasonal strawberries called "Strawberry Studio" and "Would You Like to Eat Strawberries?". Strawberry Studio is a winter and spring season dessert buffet at Seoul Dragon City that has been fully booked every year since its launch in 2019. It features a 12-floor-high "Stairway to Heaven" densely set with fresh strawberries, about 30 types of desserts topped with strawberries, and a variety of meal replacement dishes. It runs in two sessions on weekends and public holidays at THE 26 until April 16. "Would You Like to Eat Strawberries?" is an adult-only product where you can enjoy strawberry desserts with wine and a splendid night view. It consists of a strawberry buffet and a strawberry tower. The strawberry buffet offers unlimited servings of about 10 types of desserts, fresh strawberries, jjambbong (spicy seafood noodle soup), wine, and more, while the strawberry tower includes a five-tier tower with strawberry salad and tortillas, a dessert platter, and a bottle of sparkling wine. It is available at Kings Vacation until March 31.
Conrad Seoul's Italian restaurant Atrio presents the "Love Berry Much" buffet to enjoy winter strawberries in various ways during the season. The menu includes welcome food of lobster tail topped with strawberry salsa, fromage blanc strawberry fresh cream cake, strawberry cream puffs filled with strawberry jam, strawberry mousse shaped like strawberries, and more. Atrio's signature pasta Mezzemaniche and signature pizza can also be enjoyed alongside the strawberry buffet. A Polaroid photo opportunity (one shot per group) is provided, and one group selected as the best photo through a draw will receive a bouquet of roses as a gift. The buffet is available every weekend lunch until March 26.
Lotte Hotel Seoul Peninsula Lounge is running the "Must Be Strawberry" strawberry promotion. Collaborating with the French cosmetics brand Paul & Joe Beaute, the dessert decoration and interior feature Paul & Joe Beaute's signature character, the cat "Nanette," attracting the attention of "Nyangdeok" (cat lovers). Each table is decorated with cushions featuring cats and pink & white colored table mats, creating a charming space. The strawberry dessert tray (afternoon tea set) is available until April 28. The three-tier tray shaped like Paul & Joe Beaute's cat includes 14 types of desserts such as champagne strawberry mousse shaped like eggs with cat and bear accents, strawberry apple pie, and strawberry opera cake, along with two types of welcome food and two drinks (coffee or tea).
Park Hyatt Seoul The Lounge has launched the "Strawberry Afternoon Tea Set." It runs daily from 12 PM to 5:30 PM until April 2 and can be used for two hours from the reservation time. The three-tier tray includes fresh seasonal fruits including strawberries and warm homemade scones. Representative items include strawberry chouquette with strawberry compote and mascarpone cream cheese, strawberry earl grey mousse topped with snowflake-shaped earl grey tuile evoking a winter feeling, strawberry vanilla verrine harmonizing salted caramel, vanilla, and strawberry flavors, strawberry & lemon verbena cheesecake topped with strawberries and full of lemon verbena aroma, and strawberry yogurt chocolate with raspberry compote and yogurt crunch offering a unique texture. A pass-around item featuring strawberries decorated with chocolate in a jewelry box is also served directly at the table.
Grand Hyatt Seoul Lobby Lounge Cafe Gallery runs the "Strawberry Afternoon Tea" promotion until March 12. The gallery's strawberry afternoon tea stand is made with "Jirisan Sancheong Strawberries" grown at the foot of Jirisan in Gyeongnam. Main desserts include strawberry sweet potato opera filled with sweet potato mousse, strawberry pine nut financier, strawberry choux, and yogurt strawberry mousse. The buffet station offers strawberry fraisier cake, various charcuterie, cheese and sandwiches, Jirisan black pork sausage rolls, and foie gras tart. The service is available daily from 1:30 PM to 5 PM and is for two people per set.
Courtyard Marriott Seoul Namdaemun Hotel offers a strawberry afternoon tea set at Momo Lounge until February 26, where you can enjoy various desserts made with seasonal strawberries along with pasta and drinks. The season-limited strawberry afternoon tea set at Momo Lounge provides a three-tier tray with strawberry dacquoise, strawberry tartlet, strawberry cake, berry panna cotta, tiramisu, sandwiches, and fresh strawberries. Along with the desserts on the three-tier tray, a meal-replacement Bolognese pasta is also served. For drinks, you can choose one per person from strawberry latte, strawberry ade, coffee, or hot tea. It operates daily from 12 PM to 5 PM.
At Lounge 38 in Grand Hyatt Jeju within Jeju Dream Tower Complex Resort, an afternoon tea set featuring seasonal strawberries is offered. Macarons, cream puffs, tarts, and mousse made with strawberries allow you to enjoy the sweet taste of strawberries in season. Four types of savory dishes are also provided, including organic egg mimosa, smoked salmon blini, Boston lobster sandwich, and smoked turkey with cranberry stuffing. Coffee or tea for two is included. It is available from 12 PM to 6 PM. Located on the 38th floor, the highest floor in Jeju, you can enjoy panoramic views of Jeju Sea, the city, and airplane takeoff and landing scenes.
