[Asia Economy Reporter Eunju Lee] Andrea Zambruno, partner of Giorgia Meloni, Italy's first female prime minister, shared his reflections on life as the 'First Gentleman.'
In an interview with the Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Sera on the 19th (local time), he spoke about the changes and his thoughts during the three months since Meloni took office as prime minister on the 22nd.
Zambruno said, "I never thought I would be traveling abroad every day like this," mentioning that he is managing a busy schedule as the prime minister's partner.
He added, "Even when I am in the country, I rarely get home before 10:30 a.m., and I don't know how she manages such a demanding workload every day." The two are not legally married but have been in a common-law marriage (a marriage without official registration) for nearly nine years.
