[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Go Han-seung, the current president of the Korea Bio Association and president of Samsung Bioepis, has been reappointed as the association's president. Lim Jeong-bae, president of Daesang, has been appointed as the new chairman, representing the voice of Korea's bio industry for the next two years.
President Go's reappointment is seen as a result of his consistent efforts to foster solidarity and cooperation within the bio industry, evidenced by a 34% increase in regular member companies during his previous two-year term.
The Korea Bio Association was established on November 28, 2008, through the merger of three organizations: the Korea Biotechnology Research Association founded in 1982, the Korea Bio Industry Association founded in 1991, and the Korea Bio Venture Association founded in 2000. Currently, 605 companies are active members.
Additionally, 21 vice presidents, 25 directors, and 1 auditor have been appointed as executives.
