"To Maintain Hairstyle"
On the 14th (local time), at the conclusion of the 71st Miss Universe pageant, Albony Gabriel (28), who became the oldest winner in the history of the competition, revealed that her secret to beauty was "not washing her hair."
In an interview with the US media Insider on the 20th, she said, "When we go on stage, we look so beautiful and fresh, and those who know (that I haven't washed my hair) find it amusing," adding, "But honestly, I felt very dirty on the final stage." She continued, "Since starting the pageant on January 1st, I haven't washed my hair once," and said, "I still haven't."
As the reason for not washing her hair, she explained, "By the time the finals approach, the hairspray has set a good base, so my curls stay intact," and "The dirtier my hair is, the prettier and neater my curls remain."

Gabriel shared one more secret. She said, "I didn't shower every day," explaining, "It was to protect my self-tanned skin." She added, "On stage, the lighting makes (the skin) less visible, but I use self-tanning to highlight my muscles."
Meanwhile, representing the United States, Gabriel won the crown at this Miss Universe pageant, beating out Venezuela's Amanda Dudamel and the Dominican Republic's Andreana Martinez Puni?, among others.
Gabriel is 28 years old this year, making her the oldest eligible contestant in the Miss Universe pageant. At the time of the finals, she stated, "At 28, I am the oldest age allowed to compete," and expressed her opinion, saying, "Miss Universe has recently made broad changes allowing mothers and married women to participate, and because of this, I hope the age limit will be raised in the future."
