A 50,000 Won Incentive Provided Upon Moving In... Support for Stable Settlement
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do is supporting marriage congratulatory money and incentives to celebrate and assist residents who are starting anew through marriage.
According to the county on the 20th, the youth couple marriage congratulatory money is targeted at young couples aged 49 or younger. Both spouses must have had an address in the province for more than six months as of the application date, and at least one spouse must be marrying for the first time to qualify for this program.
The marriage incentive money has no age or first/remarriage restrictions. One spouse must have had an address in Haenam-gun for more than one year before the marriage registration date, and both spouses must have an address in Haenam-gun as of the application date. Applications can be made from six months after the marriage registration up to within one year.
The support amount for each is 2 million KRW, and if the couple continues to reside in Haenam-gun for one year thereafter, an additional 1 million KRW will be provided. Duplicate support is not allowed.
A county official stated, “When moving to Haenam, a Haenam Love gift certificate worth 50,000 KRW per person is provided as a moving incentive. This applies to those who have been registered residents in another local government for more than one year as of the moving date.”
In particular, “The moving incentive contribution is provided to institutions when three or more employees register their workplace address in Haenam-gun,” the official explained.
So far, many institutions and organizations such as Haenam Military Base, Haenam Transportation, Daehan Shipbuilding, Haenam Office of Education, Haenam Communication Support Unit, Haenam Middle School, Haenam High School, and Hyunsan Middle School have participated.
