According to the city on the 20th, this project supports academy fees for arts and physical education subjects such as art, music, and dance, excluding subjects selected as regular school curriculum.

The support targets elementary, middle, and high school students residing in Jeongeup who are basic livelihood security recipients, lower-income families, multicultural families, or families with multiple children. The number of beneficiaries has increased by 50 from last year, allowing a total of 450 students to benefit.

The project budget is 364.5 million KRW.

This is an increase of 40.5 million KRW compared to last year, providing up to 810,000 KRW per student over 9 months at 90,000 KRW per month.

The city plans to help children and youths who need after-school care to grow healthily by providing education as well as linking care and welfare services.

In particular, it is expected to strengthen special talents and aptitudes such as career exploration and certification acquisition, which had been lacking due to the occurrence of welfare blind spots among low-income youths' learning activities.

Additionally, by promoting welfare policies with private sector participation and establishing a public-private cooperation system, it is expected to form a warm community through the spread of sharing and donation culture within the local community.

Applications can be made at the town or township offices or the neighborhood community centers of the resident registration address until the 3rd of next month.

The project is scheduled to run for 9 months from March to November.

A city official said, "Through welfare projects that expand learning opportunities, all youths growing up in Jeongeup will be able to nurture their dreams and future without exclusion," adding, "We hope this will help them choose careers suited to their aptitudes and realize their dreams."
