[Asia Economy (Hongseong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The Chungnam Provincial Fire Headquarters announced on the 20th that it ranked first among provincial units in the ‘2022 National 119 Integrated Situation Room Disaster Management Evaluation’ hosted by the National Fire Agency.

The provincial fire headquarters’ 119 Integrated Situation Room received an A grade in the first and second halves of 2020 and the first half of 2021, achieving the highest evaluation score for four consecutive times recently.

The evaluation is conducted by examining the situation management process during disaster situations involving ‘response level 1 or higher or two or more fatalities’ at the 119 Integrated Situation Rooms of fire headquarters in 19 cities and provinces nationwide.

The evaluation indicators consist of 12 items, including the speed and accuracy of situation reporting and the appropriateness of situation response.

The Chungnam 119 Integrated Situation Room received high scores for accurate initial situation assessment and prompt situation reporting in 23 disaster cases subject to evaluation last year.

Park Chang-woo, head of the 119 Integrated Situation Room at the provincial fire headquarters, said, “We will continue to do our best in proactive situation management to prevent human casualties and minimize property damage in the early stages of disasters.”
