Construction Guarantee Association Launches Internet Portal with Enhanced Convenience and Accessibility on the 25th

[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Tae-min] The Construction Mutual Aid Association announced on the 20th that it will launch an improved internet portal starting from the 25th. This comes after about one year and six months since the launch of the "Customer-Centered Information System Advancement Project" to enhance customer accessibility and convenience.

Construction Guarantee Association Launches Internet Portal with Enhanced Convenience and Accessibility on the 25th

First, customers will find it easier to access the internet and mobile portals. Previously, access was only possible through a joint certificate, but now it can also be done using an ID and password, as well as the Association Certificate (a work processing certificate issued by the Association). Additionally, major tasks such as guarantees and mutual aid can now be handled through the mobile portal, effectively removing location constraints.

The guarantee application and issuance process has also been significantly improved. Previously, customers had to fill out the application form themselves, electronically sign it, and submit it to the Association. However, now the Association prepares and provides the application form based on contracts submitted to the Association, and customers simply review it. If there are no issues with the application, the customer completes the process by electronically signing and paying the fee, finalizing the guarantee issuance.

Furthermore, new features such as "Multiple Applications," which allows multiple subcontract payment guarantees for the same site to be applied for at once, and "Linked Applications," which enables simultaneous modification requests for guarantees and mutual aid issued for the same site, have been introduced. Customer requests such as email transmission of guarantee certificates and receipts, electronic signing of multiple applications, and immediate guarantee application after contract conclusion in the electronic contract system have also been incorporated.

Internally, Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology and construction-related information collected externally indirectly support the increased workload of employees. By combining the Association’s expertise with OCR technology, a construction contract database necessary for guarantee issuance is created from contracts submitted during guarantee applications, enabling rapid verification of contract conditions required for review. Additionally, contract information disclosed on platforms like Nara Marketplace is collected and utilized to support branch offices’ auxiliary tasks and sales activities.

The Association stated, "This customer-centered information system advancement project was pursued with the goal of reducing the burden of Association tasks on customers," and added, "We will continue to implement improvements necessary for our customers going forward."
