Shinsegae L&B's G7, launched in 2009, is a daily wine brand that has led the popularization of the domestic wine market with its intuitive name, reasonable price, and excellent taste. It surpassed cumulative sales of 2 million bottles within five years of its launch, and in particular, sold over 1 million bottles in 2014 alone, becoming a million-seller wine brand with the 'fastest and highest sales in the shortest period.'
G7 was created through the consulting of the Pedregal family, who have been making wine for seven generations in Chile, and Pascal Marty, the legendary winemaker behind Alma Viva and Opus One. The name G7 stands for '7th Generation,' reflecting Shinsegae L&B's ambition to continuously provide wines of trustworthy quality, following the reputation of the Pedregal family spanning seven generations.
Last year, four main G7 products obtained the European vegan certification V-label, further enhancing the brand's value. The G7 vegan wines include four types: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc, all produced without using any animal-derived ingredients or genetically modified crops during the production process. The vegan certification mark is attached to the wine labels, allowing consumers to easily verify the vegan certification status.
