[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Around 5:10 PM on the 19th, a fire broke out at a scrap yard in Joeum-ri, Sangnam-myeon, Miryang-si, Gyeongnam, and was completely extinguished by 11:10 PM.
According to the Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters, 106 firefighters and 34 vehicles, including fire trucks, were deployed, and heavy equipment was mobilized, but the fire on scrap metal and equipment did not easily go out.
The Fire Headquarters announced that the fire was extinguished after about six hours and that there were no casualties.
The fire and police authorities plan to investigate the exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damage once daylight comes.
