President Yoon Promises "Government Will Spare No Support"

[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] President Yoon Suk-yeol, who is staying in Davos, Switzerland to attend the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting (WEF·Davos Forum), stated on the 19th (local time), "I will work harder as 'Korea's No. 1 Salesperson.' The door of the Yongsan office is always open."


President Yoon said this through a post on Facebook, expressing special thanks to the businesspeople and cultural figures who worked hard for the successful 'Korea Night' event.


President Yoon first mentioned, "Since my inauguration until now, I have emphasized that to solve the complex crisis, the government and the private sector must act as one body, and that cross-cooperation is urgently needed not only between countries but also between governments, between government and private sectors, and among private sectors."


He continued, "After having lunch with global CEOs as the first schedule in Davos, I feel even more strongly that the government must spare no support and cooperation to solve global problems through private sector technological innovation," adding, "First, second, and third is the economy. We will firmly establish a private-led, market-centered economic policy and make the Republic of Korea a world-class innovation country."

President Yoon also mentioned the bid activities, saying, "The Busan World Expo will be a starting point to solve common human problems faced by the whole world, such as complex crises, uncertainty, and polarization."


Regarding this, he said, "At 'Korea Night,' attended by national leaders, global CEOs, and world-renowned journalists, I explained the necessity of hosting the Busan World Expo and sought cooperation," emphasizing, "Through the Busan World Expo, we will share our experience of overcoming difficulties such as war, division, and poverty and advancing into an economic and cultural powerhouse with other countries, and move forward together toward a better future."
