MoHW and KMA Begin Discussions on Medical Issues Including Saving Essential Medical Services on the 26th

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] The Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korean Medical Association announced on the 19th that they will begin consultations on medical issues on the 26th.

Based on the mutual trust established last year through the 'Consultative Body with the Medical Community to Revitalize Essential Medical Services,' the government and the medical community have agreed to discuss the development plans for regional medical care, essential medical services, medical education, and the resident training system at the Medical Issues Consultative Body.

The consultative body will hold meetings weekly to discuss measures to support regional medical care such as regional medical fees, foster and support essential medical services, and substantially improve the training environment for residents, aiming to enhance public health and advance healthcare.
