Chosun University Hospital Accelerates Efforts to Establish 'Patient-Centered' Medical Culture

Special Lecture on Patient Experience Management for All Employees

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Chosun University Hospital (Hospital Director Kim Kyungjong) is accelerating efforts to create a patient-centered medical culture.


Chosun University Hospital recently announced on the 19th that it conducted special lectures on patient experience management for all staff twice at Kim Dongguk Hall on the 5th floor of the Uiseong Building.

This special lecture was organized with the aim of improving the quality of medical services and hospital usage satisfaction perceived by patients and guardians through strengthening communication capabilities for patient-centered medical services.


The lecture, hosted by the Customer Satisfaction Team, was conducted by inviting Lee Juyoun, CEO of Refine Education Consulting.


The lecture focused intensively on ▲the changing paradigm of medical performance evaluation ▲the importance of patient-centered communication ▲‘a hospital that patients want, for patients, and centered on patients’ ▲cases of CS innovation activities satisfying both patients and staff ▲the difference between what patients want to hear and what medical staff want to say.


Jo Yongjin, head of the Customer Satisfaction Team (Professor of Orthopedics), said, “We plan to continuously conduct various educational programs so that communication and empathy between patients and staff can be well established. We will make further efforts to foster a patient-centered medical culture.”
