Promotion of Saekdong Cape for Pets Opened
As 'Hokangseu (Hotel + Vacation)' has established itself as a vacation culture, the hotel industry is also accelerating its efforts to capture the demand for 'Seolkangseu (Seol + Hokangseu)' ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.
According to the industry on the 19th, Seoul Shilla Hotel introduced the ‘Holiday Winery After 5’ package, where guests can enjoy a wine party during the Lunar New Year holiday. This package features a 5 PM check-in time for customers who find it difficult to check in early due to ancestral rites and allows them to enjoy a wine party.
The wine party, ‘Holiday Winery,’ is an event held for three days starting from the 21st, the beginning of the Lunar New Year holiday, at the Dynasty Hall, the large banquet hall. It includes about 10 types of wine, various pairing appetizers made with Seoul Shilla Hotel’s signature dishes, and a live jazz performance by a six-member band. Jeju Shilla Hotel also operates ‘Wine and Winter Holiday,’ offering various wines and appetizers throughout the holiday period.
Chosun Hotel & Resort also launched customized products to target Seolkangseu customers. The Westin Chosun Seoul released the winter season package ‘Starry Fairy Winter’ limited to the holiday period, along with the ‘2023 Happy Bunny Year’ package that includes New Year desserts. Gifts include a limited edition jewelry box from the jewelry platform Amonds, a gold heart pearl necklace from designer jewelry brand Deepbrow, and a hand cream and eau de parfum discovery set from niche perfume brand Le Persona. Additionally, customers who make reservations will receive a ‘Mini Carrot Pound Cake’ from Chosun Deli.
Escape is running a promotion until the 24th offering a saekdong (colorful striped) cape for pets and Korea’s traditional rice wine Makgeolli, while The Westin Chosun Busan presents the ‘Hello Bunny’ package, which includes a one-night stay and the ‘Vivente Gift Collection’ consisting of four types of drip bags from the coffee brand Vivente, produced by Chosun Hotel.
Paradise City offers the ‘Suite Happy New Year’ package for families. It is composed of two rooms: a Deluxe Suite Double and a Deluxe Twin room. The package also includes a mille-feuille cake shaped like a yutnori game piece, access to the indoor swimming pool, the year-round outdoor heated pool, the indoor spa ‘Cimer,’ and one-time use of the indoor theme park ‘Wonderbox.’ This package is available only from the 20th to the 23rd during the Lunar New Year holiday.
In addition, Kolon Resort and Hotel offers the ‘Seol-Cation’ package, which includes tickets to nearby facilities such as Gyeongju Expo Park and Busan Lotte World. Walkerhill Hotel & Resort presents ‘Rabbit Rabbit Seollal,’ which includes a one-night stay in a deluxe room at Grand Walkerhill Seoul and breakfast at the buffet restaurant ‘The Buffet.’
