[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Neofect announced on the 18th that it supplied its smart glove product to the top local medical institution Cleveland Clinic through its U.S. subsidiary (NEOFECT USA, INC).
Cleveland Clinic is one of the world's leading hospitals. It was ranked 2nd in Newsweek's World's Best Hospitals 2022.
Neofect is expanding its performance by pioneering sales channels mainly in rehabilitation hospitals and general hospitals. It has supplied smart gloves to world-renowned rehabilitation hospitals such as Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, Stanford University Hospital, and Massachusetts General Hospital in the U.S.
A Neofect official explained, "Winning the Cleveland Clinic order is meaningful in that our supply references have become stronger, focusing on large local hospitals in the U.S., the world's largest rehabilitation market."
He added, "Based on increased corporate awareness and trust, we will further activate sales in the U.S. market and establish ourselves as a global rehabilitation brand."
The smart glove is a rehabilitation training device that helps stroke patients rehabilitate finger, wrist, and forearm functions. It was developed as customized software supporting virtual reality game rehabilitation content. Through AI algorithms, it provides various game training contents tailored to the patient's condition.
In December last year, Neofect proved that the smart glove is effective not only in recovering upper limb function in stroke patients but also in activating the damaged brain. The related research paper was published in the globally renowned academic journal, Journal Of Clinical Medicine.
