Gyeongbuk Province announced on the 18th that, starting this year, the exhibition hall space will be operated with a focus on the convenience of residents by listening to visitors' difficulties.

First, the flow of movement in the Eco Hall on the 1st floor of the exhibition hall was improved and seating was increased so that more visitors can benefit. Innovative procurement sound equipment was installed free of charge, solving both budget savings and visitor convenience simultaneously.

Also, the 3rd floor of the exhibition hall was improved and expanded into an efficient space. It is operated as a large-scale gallery-style performance hall equipped with lighting. The exhibition schedule for the entire year has already been fully booked. The dark partitions at the entrance were also improved to harmonize with the outside scenery, becoming a unique attraction.

The stage of the 400-seat Global Hall multipurpose hall was also improved to make theater and music performances more convenient.

The smart library, the first installed in Gumi, allows elementary, middle, and high school students as well as the general public visiting the theme park to easily borrow and return 600 new books 24 hours a day.

The theme park event information is immediately announced, and through the VR setup on the website, visitors can experience the interior of the exhibition hall from the 1st to 3rd floors before visiting the theme park. The theme park website also announces schedules in advance so visitors can choose and enjoy.

Convenience facilities will be greatly improved after February.

Facilities such as the restaurant and old market that evoke nostalgic feelings, and the thatched-roof clay and cypress steam room experience center currently being piloted as a healing space for residents, are expected to add new attractions and vitality to the theme park.

Kim Ho-gi, head of the Saemaeul Volunteer Division of Gyeongbuk Province, said, “We hope that the Saemaeul Movement Theme Park, improved with a focus on residents' convenience, will be widely used and promoted as a memorable and popular picnic spot.”
