On the 17th, Mayor Park toured the work site of the recycling sorting center at the Environmental Office, which has a high risk of major accidents, checked the working environment, and listened to the grievances and difficulties of the workers.

The recycling sorting center has a building area of 1234㎡, and operations are carried out through processes such as weighing on the scale after collecting recyclables, bringing them into the sorting center, sorting by item, compressing by item, storing in the storage area, and shipping to sales companies.

In particular, the recycling sorting center is classified as a high-risk workplace for major accidents because forklifts are used and compression processes occur during work.

Mayor Park urged, “As this is a high-risk workplace, the management and supervision departments should strive to improve the environment so that work can be carried out safely, and workers should also maintain vigilance and strictly adhere to safety rules.”
