Yoon Concludes UAE Schedule, Promises to Repay with Trust and Sincerity

President Yoon on Facebook: "Doing Our Best to Achieve Tangible Results"

[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] President Yoon Suk-yeol, concluding his state visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on the 17th (local time), stated, "I will forever repay with trust and sincerity."

On the same day, President Yoon posted on his Facebook, "Here, I received a warm welcome from President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the people of the UAE," expressing his gratitude.

He continued, "Yesterday, I visited the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant with President Mohammed. We jointly celebrated the operation of Unit 3 and inspected the construction status," adding, "The nuclear power development cooperation over the past decade symbolizes the special strategic partnership between Korea and the UAE. It not only set global standards for nuclear projects but is also a great endeavor full of new possibilities such as additional nuclear cooperation and joint ventures in third countries."

He also highly praised the efforts of the Barakah nuclear power plant workers. President Yoon said, "At the symbol of bilateral cooperation and the starting point of trust are our nuclear power workers," emphasizing, "Their sweat, passion, and dedication have solidified the brotherly relationship between Korea and the UAE like rock, and their spirit of challenge enables not only the development of the Republic of Korea but also peace and prosperity worldwide."

He added, "History belongs to those who challenge. Our businesspeople who joined the government's first economic delegation have never forgotten the spirit of challenge for even a moment," stressing, "The investment and industrial capabilities of both countries will create remarkable achievements in the global market through synergy."

Furthermore, he stated, "There are no limits to our cooperation, and the horizon of friendship will expand further," concluding, "The government will do its utmost to achieve tangible results."
