[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education has officially begun preparing for future education to promote the School Space Innovation Project.
According to the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education on the 17th, a workshop was held at Naju Space Cowork for 84 faculty members from schools participating in this year's School Space Innovation Project.
This year, 21 schools were selected for the School Space Innovation Project: 11 elementary schools, 6 middle schools, 2 high schools, and 2 special schools. The Office of Education plans to support a total of 8.3 billion KRW from its own budget, ranging from 150 million KRW to 800 million KRW per school.
The workshop was conducted by dividing school space innovation into seven types: learning space, living space, play space, creative space, ecological space, community-linked space, and educational support space, sharing cases of space innovation in elementary and middle schools.
Kim Jong-hoon, Head of the Green Smart Future School Promotion Team, stated, “School space innovation goes beyond changes in buildings; it creates future education spaces in Jeonnam and establishes a Jeonnam-style future education culture. We will do our best to make this a space innovation project where all educational imaginations we dream of come true in classrooms, schools, and communities.”
