According to the Jeonbuk Fire Department on the 17th, Head Choi promoted this field visit in anticipation that many people would use major traditional markets in the province during the national holiday of Seollal.

He aimed to establish a fire safety management system by removing fire-prone factors in advance, building a rapid response system, and raising safety awareness among related personnel.

He toured various parts of the market with the president of the Buan Permanent Market Merchants Association and fire safety managers, urging thorough caution and vigilance to prevent fires.

He also encouraged market merchants who are struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and high prices, taking time to listen to their difficulties.

Furthermore, he requested the fire station to do its best in special alert duties such as thorough fire prevention patrols to ensure that no safety accidents, including even a single fire, occur during the holiday period.

Head Choi of the Fire Department said, “Interest and practice in fire preparedness are more important than anything else,” and added, “We will strengthen surveillance activities so that the residents can spend the holiday safely and comfortably.”
