Kibo Awarded 'Best Institution' for 5 Consecutive Years in Ministry of SMEs and Startups Information Security Audit

Strengthening Management Systems and Education in Information Security Field Earns Minister of SMEs and Startups Commendation

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Chairman Kim Jong-ho, hereinafter referred to as Kibo) announced on the 17th that it was selected as the best institution for five consecutive years in the '2022 Information Security Audit Evaluation of Affiliated Institutions' conducted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry) and received the Minister's Commendation.

The Ministry conducts at least one information security audit per year for each affiliated institution and subsidiary organization to select the best institution. In particular, on-site inspections are conducted focusing on the National Intelligence Service's information security evaluation items, including ▲administrative security field ▲technical security field ▲crisis response capability field.

To maintain a high level of information security, Kibo established a management system in the information security field and strengthened security capabilities through education last year by ▲enhancing information security rules education for all employees ▲building an integrated next-generation firewall system ▲upgrading the data transmission system ▲advancing the network interconnection solution ▲strengthening on-site inspections of information security at business branches.

Kim Jong-ho, Chairman of Kibo, said, "We will continue to strive to establish an information security management system and cultivate information security awareness to protect a safe cyber environment from various threats."
