[Namwon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Young-kwon] The Jeonbuk Namwon City Social Economy Council (Chairman Kang Byung-kyu) and Namwon City Community Support Center (Director Ahn Sang-yeon) announced on the 16th that they held a “Social Economy Enterprise Gift Set Special Exhibition” in the city hall lobby on the 10th to celebrate the Lunar New Year holiday.

This special exhibition showcased 37 types of holiday sets prepared by a total of 12 social economy enterprises and offered a rich variety of traditional Korean sweets, rice cakes, oils, muk (acorn jelly), bugak (fried seaweed snack), chueotang (loach soup), and craft beer, all carefully made based on healthy local agricultural products.
The representative product of Kim Bugak Cooperative, the ‘Han Seonsaeng Whole Seaweed Bugak Gift Set,’ uses premium-grade raw materials and traditional methods, harvesting seaweed grown with tidal flow on stakes, and incorporates NON-GMO canola oil and a secret sweet potato starch made from Namwon sweet potatoes, enhancing umami flavor and crispy texture to the fullest.
The chueotang from Namwon Mikkuri Chueotang Cooperative is made with domestic live loach, whole sesame seeds, Korean soybean paste, and chueotang-specific dried radish greens, simmered in a cauldron to reproduce a deep flavor. The product lineup includes authentic Namwon chueotang, abalone chueotang, and a new eel soup gift set, offering a diverse selection.
The acorn jelly made by Jirisan Clear Water Chunhyanggol Agricultural Cooperative also draws attention, as it uses only domestically sourced acorns from the clean mountain village, making it a popular product sold every year.
The nostalgic food ‘muk’ is processed into acorn jelly japchae and olbanggae tteokbokki, which are instant meal kit products that have captured the taste buds of the younger generation with their special sauce.
