[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Jeong Cheong-rae, a senior member of the Democratic Party, has been launching daily crossfire attacks against former National Intelligence Service Director Park Ji-won, who asked the passionate fandom of Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, known as 'Gaeddal (Daughters of Reform)', to "stop attacking former leader Lee Nak-yeon."
In response, former NIS Director Park said, "I will endure and forgive."

On the 16th, Jeong, through his social media service (SNS), criticized Park Ji-won, saying, "Park Ji-won telling Gaeddal not to stab internally is like a thief telling the police not to steal," and added, "You have the freedom to speak, but you also have the qualification to speak."
He likened the recently reinstated former NIS Director Park to a 'thief' and said he has 'no right to speak.' The day before, through SNS, he also pointed out Park Ji-won, saying, "Isn't he the very person who, not just stabbing internally a few years ago, but actually threw a bomb inside, left the party, and during the presidential election fired crossfire while doing 'Moon Morning'?"
'Moon Morning' is a nickname given to Park Ji-won, who criticized former President Moon Jae-in every morning through the Supreme Council meetings from 2015 to 2017 during his time in the People's Party.
Despite criticism within the party, former NIS Director Park said, "I had lunch with three priests who were my classmates in theological seminary and are now retired," and added, "I will endure, forgive, and pray. I learned through the priests' words that this is the way to help the Democratic Party."
He also revealed a meaningful conversation with the priests. When Park said, "Priests, wars are happening somewhere in the world. The causes are territory and religion," Father Ham Se-woong responded, "Jesus was killed by Christian believers."
Earlier, on the 14th, former NIS Director Park caused controversy by appealing through SNS, saying, "Don't shoot sideways, shoot forward," and "Why are the so-called Gaeddal shooting at former leader Lee Nak-yeon? Forget the past primary process."
