On the 16th, Wemade announced that it will establish 'Wemix MENA' in the United Arab Emirates to expand Wemix's business in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
The Middle East is one of the regions recently leading bold policies and business ecosystems based on blockchain technology and virtual asset services. It is also actively working to expand the scope of economic cooperation with Korea, focusing on blockchain and cultural content.
In particular, Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, has been focusing on revitalizing the global blockchain industry through the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), including the introduction of digital asset regulations in 2018. The gaming industry is showing growth, and the government has a positive attitude toward blockchain businesses, making it a key base for global IT companies entering the Middle East.
Accordingly, Wemade plans to expand its capabilities by establishing additional corporations in the MENA region, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, and conducting multifaceted collaborations for blockchain business.
