[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] The Presidential Commission on the Digital Platform Government announced on the 16th that it is accepting submissions for the 2nd round of citizen experience leading projects targeting the public, businesses, and government agencies until the 27th.
The citizen experience leading projects are based on the fundamental principles of the Digital Platform Government. These principles include creating an innovative ecosystem where the public and private sectors grow together, fully opening public data in a digital format, providing integrated, proactive, and customized public services, and making scientific policy decisions based on AI and data.
The commission explained that these projects utilize AI and data to provide personalized services to each citizen, establish policies scientifically, and promote solutions to social issues through public-private collaboration rather than government-led efforts, resulting in a high short-term impact felt by the public.
This year, 20 projects are currently underway, including simplified claims for indemnity insurance, integrated inquiry and application for subscription information, and resolving blind spots in real estate transactions through electronic contracts and MyData.
Submitted citizen proposals will be reviewed by internal and external experts within the commission, coordinated with relevant ministries, and finalized and announced in March along with the core priority tasks of the roadmap being established by the commission for implementation.
