Gyeongnam Jeongbodae and Sasang-gu Office Remodel 50-Year-Old Senior Center

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Gyeongnam Information University (President Kim Dae-sik) remodeled Ilsin Senior Citizens' Center, the first target of the High Vocational Education Hub District Project (HiVE) conducted together with Busan Sasang District Office, and held an opening ceremony on the 13th.


The opening ceremony was attended by local district National Assembly member Jang Je-won, Chairman of the National Assembly Administration and Security Committee, Jo Byung-gil, Mayor of Sasang District, Kim Dae-sik, President of Gyeongnam Information University, Yoon Sook-hee, Chairperson of Sasang District Council, Kim Deok-su, Chairman of the Korean Senior Citizens Association Sasang Branch, and about 50 members of Ilsin Senior Citizens' Center.

Ilsin Senior Citizens' Center has been operating for over 50 years since its opening in 1974 without major repairs, making the resolution of safety and convenience issues urgent.


In this project, the Gyeongnam Information University HiVE project team and Sasang District joined forces to complete remodeling with a budget of 45 million KRW. Accordingly, Sasang District Office presented a plaque of appreciation to the Gyeongnam Information University HiVE Center for contributing to solving local issues and enhancing senior welfare in Sasang District.


On this day, Kim Dae-sik, President of Gyeongnam Information University, said, "It is time for Gyeongnam Information University, the representative vocational college of the region, to fulfill its social responsibility to the residents of Sasang District who have generously supported the university for the past 58 years," adding, "We will do our best to continue playing a significant role in coexistence with the local community."
