On the 16th, officials from the Sungkyunkwan Ritual Establishment Committee (hereinafter Sungkyunkwan), the Sungkyunkwan Confucianism Association Headquarters, and the Korea Confucian Culture Promotion Institute held a press conference at the Korea Press Center in Jung-gu, Seoul, titled "Simplifying Lunar New Year Ancestral Rites Together." Advocating for "Confucianism suited to the times," Sungkyunkwan provided guidance on the proper way to perform New Year's bows ahead of the Lunar New Year and recommended conducting ancestral rites in a simplified manner.
