Changnyeong-gun Prepares Public Restrooms for Safety and Cleanliness Ahead of Seollal Holiday

Cultural Standard: Major Public Restroom Cleaning Conducted

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Wook] Changnyeong-gun, Gyeongnam will implement cleanliness and convenience measures for public restrooms in preparation for the Lunar New Year holiday from the 16th to February 5th to provide clean and safe restrooms.

The county plans to focus inspections on 58 locations such as terminals, tourist sites, market districts, and parks where an increase in users is expected. They will check the cleanliness of restrooms, conduct thorough cleaning, and inspect overall operation management including the provision of convenience items to minimize inconvenience for users.

In addition, to prevent illegal filming incidents in public restrooms, the county plans to create safe public restrooms by checking the operation of safety devices (emergency bells, CCTV) and the presence of illegal filming cameras.

A county official stated, “We will thoroughly inspect facilities so that returning visitors can use public restrooms comfortably. We also hope that users will cooperate to establish a culture of clean public restrooms.”
