Gyeongnam National University Holds Inauguration Ceremony for 12th President Dr. Park Jae-gyu

On February 8th, without inviting external guests,

150,000 Hanma Family members gather for a harmony event

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] Gyeongnam National University will hold the ‘12th President Dr. Park Jae-gyu Inauguration Ceremony’ at 11 a.m. on February 8 in the main building's large conference room.

Along with the newly appointed President Park, 150,000 ‘Hanma Family’ members including professors, staff, students, and alumni will gather in one place. This inauguration ceremony is prepared as a venue for communication and harmony to celebrate the new start of Gyeongnam National University, which will leap forward tirelessly toward the future like the university’s symbol ‘Hanma (汗馬).’

Also, since the event embodies the will of 150,000 alumni who hope the university will wisely overcome the crisis it faces, produce excellent future talents, and further solidify its status as a prestigious regional private university, only internal members of the university will attend without inviting outsiders.

The Hanma Academy Foundation held a board meeting last November and appointed the current president, Park Jae-gyu (former Minister of Unification), as the 12th president of Gyeongnam National University.
