[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Su-yeon] KT announced on the 16th that it will implement the ‘Family Satisfaction Project’ to provide customized benefits tailored to the lifestyle of family customers and to carefully address the needs of family members.
As part of the Family Satisfaction Project, KT is enhancing its partnership benefits with Disney+. Customers using Genie TV and the latest set-top boxes, ‘Genie TV Set-top Box A’ or ‘Genie TV Set-top Box 3,’ can conveniently enjoy Disney+ through the media portal. The remote control for the latest Genie TV set-top boxes features a Disney+ hotkey.
KT also newly introduced the Genie TV Disney+ Choice plan, which combines IPTV fees and Disney+ subscription fees (25,300 KRW per month, based on a 3-year internet bundle contract), and the Genie TV Disney+ monthly subscription service (9,900 KRW per month). To celebrate the launch of Disney+ on Genie TV, KT will provide a 2-month Disney+ usage voucher to customers who newly subscribe or switch to the Genie TV Choice plan with the latest set-top box by March 31.

KT’s Family Satisfaction Project also renewed the ‘OTT Subscription’ service, which allows the whole family to conveniently subscribe to OTT services. Customers can easily apply for subscriptions to various services such as Netflix, Disney+, YouTube Premium, TVING, Genie Smart Music Listening, Millie’s Library, and Blythe Select on the KT homepage OTT subscription page. By subscribing through OTT Subscription, customers can receive a monthly discount of 1,000 to 2,000 KRW. All KT mobile customers can access this service via the KT homepage starting from the 17th.
Additionally, KT has prepared a variety of new products and customized benefits that enhance satisfaction for each generation as part of the Family Satisfaction Project.
First, KT is running the ‘Youth Genie Pack Half-Price Promotion’ until April 1, offering the ‘Genie Pack,’ which allows unlimited music streaming with dedicated data, to customers aged 18 and under at a 50% discounted price (5,300 KRW per month).
Customers concerned about their teenage children’s smartphone bills can use the ‘Premium Family Bundle Youth Discount’ to enjoy the ‘5G Basic’ plan (80,000 KRW per month), which offers unlimited data and VIP membership, for 34,500 KRW per month.
Senior KT customers aged 65 and older who enjoy YouTube can combine the Premium Family Bundle with the ‘Basic Pension Discount’ to use the 5G Basic plan for 27,900 KRW per month. By adding 5,000 KRW monthly, they can also apply the YouTube Choice benefit to watch YouTube ad-free with ‘YouTube Premium.’ KT stated that this benefit was prepared for parents who use more than 40% of their monthly data on YouTube viewing.
For customers with children entering elementary school, KT released the ‘Shinbi Kids Phone 3’ on the 13th. By using KT’s exclusive benefit ‘Our Child Discount,’ customers can use the kids’ plan, which offers unlimited calls and texts, for around 10,000 KRW per month. The plan also includes a free ‘Safety Box’ that provides features such as child location tracking, phone usage management, and harmful content blocking.
Meanwhile, KT will launch a new advertising series at the end of January that easily explains the Family Satisfaction Project’s various customized benefits for families. The first episode of the series humorously and engagingly showcases the Premium Family Bundle benefits that satisfy both teenage children and parents, featuring Kim Nam-hee, an actor from the recently popular drama ‘The Youngest Son of a Chaebol Family,’ delivering a sincere yet comedic performance.
