[Asia Economy Reporter Myung-Hwan Lee] Korea University Guro Hospital announced on the 16th that it has signed a business agreement with Seoul Seonam Hospital for the improvement of public health and mutual development.
The event held on the 12th was attended by Jeong Hee-jin, Director of Korea University Guro Hospital, and Ko Kang-ji, Director of the Medical Cooperation Center. From Seonam Hospital, Jang Sung-hee, Director of Seonam Hospital, and Cheon Ga-young, Director of External Cooperation, along with other officials, were present.
Through this agreement, both institutions will establish a network for hotline construction, medical cooperation, and patient exchange, including ▲transfer of subacute patients from Korea University Guro Hospital to Seonam Hospital ▲transfer of mild emergency patients from Korea University Guro Hospital and acute patients treatable at Seonam Hospital ▲transfer of emergency patients from Seonam Hospital to Korea University Guro Hospital through prior consultation.
Furthermore, they plan to provide patients with a wide range of high-quality medical services through prompt and effective medical conferences and patient referrals.
Director Jeong Hee-jin said, "Through this agreement, we believe we have secured the capacity to reduce the burden of treating recovering and mild patients and focus on treating severe patients," adding, "We hope to establish a relationship with Seonam Hospital based on continuous communication that will provide practical help and become a driving force for the development of both institutions."
Director Jang Sung-hee of Seonam Hospital said, "Seonam Hospital is the only public general hospital in the southwestern area of Seoul and is striving to provide better medical services," and added, "We hope this agreement with Korea University Guro Hospital, a leading tertiary hospital in Korea, will serve as an opportunity for the advancement of public healthcare."
Located in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, Seonam Hospital is a public general hospital representing the southwestern region of Seoul, operating 350 beds under the consignment management of Seoul Medical Center.
