Coupang announced on the 16th that it will hold the ‘Gyeongsangnam-do Excellent Agricultural and Specialty Products Win-Win Exhibition’ to support small and medium-sized merchants and farmers.
This exhibition was planned according to the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed last month between Coupang and Gyeongnam. At that time, both parties agreed to cooperate in discovering excellent agricultural and specialty products from Gyeongnam, expanding online sales channels, and revitalizing marketing support.
The win-win exhibition will be held through Coupang’s specialized section for small and medium-sized merchants, Good Store. It plans to sell excellent agricultural and specialty products from about 60 small merchants registered on Coupang Marketplace and farmers supported by the store entry support project.
Park Wan-su, Governor of Gyeongnam Province, said, “The direct transaction market for agricultural products is increasing every year, and online shopping accounts for the largest share,” adding, “Based on mutual trust with Coupang, we will strive to enhance consumer awareness and increase farmers’ income through sales support such as online sales channels and marketing.”
Park Dae-jun, Head of Coupang’s New Business Division, said, “Ahead of the Lunar New Year, small and medium-sized merchants in the Gyeongnam region are expected to increase sales through the win-win exhibition, and customers will be able to experience excellent agricultural and specialty products from Gyeongnam,” adding, “We recommend preparing with excellent agricultural and specialty products from the Gyeongnam region for this holiday.”
