[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] Daesang announced on the 16th that its convenience food brand Cheongjeongwon's 'Homings' has newly launched two main dish meal kits: 'Royal Court-style Soy Sauce Braised Chicken' and 'Ham & Meat-filled Budae Jjigae.'
The Royal Court-style Soy Sauce Braised Chicken uses domestically sourced chicken, ensuring safe consumption. It features a sweet and savory soy sauce made with soy sauce and garlic, enhanced with a spicy kick for a clean and non-greasy taste. It also includes chewy flat glass noodles, allowing for a hearty meal.
The Ham & Meat-filled Budae Jjigae is generously packed with ham, sausage, and pork with a great texture. Especially, it uses ham and sausage made by Cheongjeongwon for reliability, and unground whole pork to enhance the texture. The rich broth made from beef bone soup and 'Jongga' aged kimchi offers a deep and refreshing flavor, complemented by chewy udon noodles.
Both products contain fresh meat and vegetables that have been rapidly frozen to preserve the nutrition and texture of the ingredients. All necessary ingredients, seasonings, and side ingredients are included together, eliminating the hassle of separate ingredient preparation. Unlike other meal kits, the contents are composed of only three packs, making cooking faster and reducing packaging waste.
A Daesang representative said, "In response to the increase in single-person households and the trend of eating mainly main dishes, we have newly launched Homings main dish products to expand the lineup. We will continue to introduce a variety of high-quality meal kit products so that customers can enjoy main dishes comparable to those at specialty restaurants even at home."
