Public Rental Housing Residents: Newlyweds Aged 45 and Under
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Ulsan City is accepting applications for the newlywed couple housing support program.
Ulsan City is operating the "Newlywed Couple Housing Support Program" year-round, which provides free support for rent, maintenance fees, and lease deposit interest to newlywed couples living in public rental housing.
First implemented in April 2021, this program is the largest nationwide housing cost-free support program, providing newlywed couples residing in public rental housing in the Ulsan area with up to 400,000 KRW per month for housing costs for up to 10 years.
Since last year, the eligible age has been expanded from under 39 to under 45 years old (based on the younger spouse), and in addition to the existing rent and maintenance fee support, an additional 50,000 KRW per month for lease deposit interest costs has been provided, further expanding the program.
This year, a total of 2.4 billion KRW is planned to be supported, and if the number of eligible applicants increases, supplementary budgets will be prepared to support all applicants.
Applications are accepted at any time and can be made through the Ulsan Newlywed Couple Housing Support Program website.
Through the newlywed couple housing support program last year, Ulsan City supported 1,060 newlywed households with 2.35 billion KRW.
