'2023 Daehanminguk Defense Parts and Equipment Expo' Held in Daejeon

[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] This year, the Korea Defense Parts and Equipment Expo will be held in Daejeon.

The Daejeon City announced on the 16th that it will jointly host the "2023 Korea Defense Parts and Equipment Expo" with the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) in June.

The Defense Parts and Equipment Expo is held to promote the excellence of domestic defense small and medium-sized enterprises' products and to support networking between demanders such as military and large defense companies and developing companies.

This event is jointly organized every June by DAPA and local governments. This year, it is scheduled to take place from June 28 to 30 at the Daejeon Convention Center.

In particular, this year, the Advanced Defense Industry Exhibition and the Defense Parts and Equipment Expo, which were held annually in Daejeon, will be integrated to firmly establish Daejeon's image as the K-Defense Science City.

Previously, the city also held the Defense Parts and Equipment Expo in Daejeon in June 2018.

Lee Jang-woo, Mayor of Daejeon, said, "It is meaningful to hold the Korea Defense Parts and Equipment Expo in Daejeon following the relocation of the Defense Acquisition Program Administration and the selection of the Defense Innovation Cluster contest," adding, "The city will solidify Daejeon's position as a defense science city through the Defense Parts and Equipment Expo."
