"'Kim Gi-hyeon 1st Place' Poll, Not a Survey but Manipulation"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Park Jong-hee, a former member of the People Power Party who is assisting former lawmaker Na Kyung-won, who has expressed her intention to run in the ruling party's leadership election, stated that Na is expected to announce her candidacy "after President Yoon Seok-yeol returns to the country."
On the 16th, Park said on CBS's 'Kim Hyun-jung's News Show,' "Since the president is abroad for the national interest, it would be inappropriate to announce any intentions during that period, as it might cause domestic political concerns."
However, he added, "Looking at her recent activities and posts on Facebook over the past few days, doesn't her intention to run seem clear?" He continued, "In the case of former lawmaker Na, her intention to run has appeared quite strong since she expressed her intention to resign as vice-chair of the Low Birthrate Committee."
Recently, Na Kyung-won has been clashing with the party's Yoon core group (Yoon Seok-yeol's key associates) by mentioning the 'Jinbak inspector.' Park said, "As former leader Na mentioned yesterday, the party's behavior of producing a second Jinbak inspector is unfair," and raised his voice, saying, "The public views very negatively the way the president's close aides are launching a full-scale attack on former lawmaker Na."
He continued, "While it is understandable to criticize figures like Yoo Seung-min and Lee Jun-seok, attacking former leader Na Kyung-won, who has worked hard during elections and is a great asset to the party, is inappropriate. Such perceptions are spreading," adding, "Although Kim Ki-hyun's support may briefly spike in polls, I believe the final outcome will be based on fairness, common sense, and justice."
Recently, it became a hot topic that Kim Ki-hyun, who is considered to have 'Yoon's heart (Yunshim),' surpassed former lawmaker Na to rank first in intra-party support in a poll. However, Park raised concerns, saying, "This is not a poll; this is manipulation."
He alleged, "Last week's poll was commissioned by Media Tribune to Realmeter. However, the internet media outlet Media Tribune and an election planning company called A share the same address," suggesting the involvement of the election planning company. "The election planning company, together with Media Tribune, conducted the poll through Realmeter."
Park also pointed out that Lee Taek-soo, CEO of Realmeter, appeared on CBS during the poll and predicted, "After one or two days of polling, Kim's rise is considerable, and it seems difficult for former lawmaker Na to run," which influenced the results. He criticized, "How can they make such assumptions before the poll is even finished? Moreover, saying that former leader Na might not run could affect the poll results."
