GS25 Child Meal Card Online Pre-Reservation Expanded to Gangwon

GS Retail's GS25 announced on the 16th that it will expand the online advance reservation system for child meal cards, provided through its dedicated application 'Our Neighborhood GS,' to a nationwide scale.

Starting from the 17th, GS25 stated that it will expand the online advance reservation system for child meal cards to Busan, Chuncheon, and Wonju regions following Seoul in June, in collaboration with local governments and Shinhan Card. They explained that rapid discussions with local governments nationwide were conducted to promote the expansion nationwide for the enhancement of more youths' rights and interests.

With this expansion of the online advance reservation system for child meal cards, GS25 expects increased purchasing convenience and price discount benefits for approximately 50,000 youths using child meal cards within the respective local governments.

The online advance reservation system for child meal cards can be accessed through GS25's Our Neighborhood GS app. Users can reserve and purchase food items via the 'Child Meal Reservation Order' menu within the app and then pick them up at a nearby convenience store at their preferred time. To reduce the price burden on children amid ongoing high inflation, GS25 also runs a permanent event offering all food items within the child meal card online reservation system at a uniform 20% discount.

GS25 is also focusing on developing food items that consider both nutrition and the tastes of teenage customers. A representative example is the 'Hearty Meal Lunchbox,' completed with advice from nutrition experts. The Hearty Meal Lunchbox is popular among over 50 types of food items for its feature of providing a nutritious and hearty meal. It includes a total of eight side dishes such as grilled short rib patties, fried chicken, braised nuts, stir-fried vegetables, and a fruit-flavored beverage dessert.

GS25 plans to prioritize the rapid nationwide expansion of the online advance reservation system for child meal cards this year and concentrate its capabilities on this task. Alongside this, it will accelerate the development of good food for growing children and take the lead in creating an environment where youths nationwide using child meal cards can enjoy greater benefits.
